Terms of service

Last updated draft - not yet reviewed

These terms cover your use of time-tracker. By creating an account, you agree to them. This is a first draft and has not yet had a legal review.

The service

time-tracker lets you record your own work hours and produce text you can paste into other tools (like Harvest). It is single-user: each account sees only its own data. There is no sharing, no teams, and no cross-account access.

Your account

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the time you record.
  • Keep your password confidential; tell us if you believe your account has been compromised.
  • One account per person. Do not share your login with anyone else.
  • You must be able to enter into a legal agreement to use this service.

Acceptable use

Don't use the service to:

  • Break the law, or store content you don't have the right to store.
  • Try to access another account's data, disrupt the service, or bypass rate limits.
  • Send abusive content through account emails or the notes field.

Availability and no warranty

We aim to keep the service available and your data backed up, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and the service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Keep your own copy of anything important - use "Download my data" periodically.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost time-tracking data, beyond what is reasonably preventable through our backup practices (see the privacy policy).

Ending your account

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Your data. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, or that has been inactive and unverified past the retention windows described in the privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page.
